MapleStory M Dark Knight Guide for 2019
Dark Knight is extremely versatile. The best way to describe it would be a "jack of all trades" it is good at everything from maplestory m mesos farming to bossing but it isn't the best in any category. It is also one of the best unfunded classes to play, due to it's survivability factors and steady dps outputs. I'm a 177 level Dark Knight player share (Asia 2 Luna server). I hope this guide may inspire more players to play Dark Knight. Please let me know if there's incorrect information!
Skills
For 1st and 2nd jobs you would have maxed everything easily through quests and leveling is fast so it doesn't really matter what you add first as everything will be maxed. However when you come to third job you will have to start to level slower so it is better to pick your skills more wisely. Skills to max in order below for 3rd job
1. Charge
A very powerful skill. Being invulnerable for a split second, able to hit 7 targets. This is your main mobbing and boss skill at this level. Even at lvl 177, I am still using charge. At late game charge can be seen as a movement skill and helps you Dodge magic attacks like a breeze.

For 4th job the skill points allocate as follows. Due to beholder being able to be used during ab, the first skill you should max will be as follows
There are many varieties and combos on this. So I will not go into it. However personally for myself i went for final pact 30% phy att increase, beholder sacrifice CD reduction, final pact CD reduction and final.attack for gungnir.
For weapon it's a no brainer, 100% best weapon type is jaihin.
As for the best set for f2p Dark Knight players, I would recommend the following items having already tried out both eclectic and agares
Chaos Zak helm Agares outfit Agares boots Muspell gloves Noble shoulder Bloody cape
The reason for going for evade is to ensure you can survive anywhere for current and future game content. And also evade set is the best at keeping your current hp up, which complements cross surge (up to 10% attack increase based on current hp) extremely well. Why you need muspell gloves is so that you will not miss. As you need acc but boss set has filled up the slot for rising sun belt. It is a better tradeoff to lose the set effect bonus for agares, the dps from a full boss set is too much to ignore.
Lastly the SF maps you should be going for are
SF 35,40,80,120,130,144
With the exception of sf80 , the rest of the maps are wide and have low platforms. Allowing you to use charge to it's full potential. Dark Knight works extremely well in wide and flat platforms.
Lastly for bossing! Dark knights do extremely stable outputs of dmg. As said before. Your main skill for bossing is gungnir, it's really straightforward for Dark Knight, just spam gungnir. Against single target bosses Dark Knight is not good in dmg comparing with NL and NW. But in multi target bosses like zakum and horntail. It does well.
